These brisket marinade recipes will put your brisket over the top. Briskets are naturally a little tough. In order to turn out memorable briskets master smoker chefs know that it’s important to pull out all the stops and use every trick in the book. And one of those tricks is to use a great marinade.

The right marinade will add spice, tenderness, and flavor to your next brisket, that’s why I always use one. They are not hard to make and pay nice dividends in the taste department.

Even some of the best brisket marinade recipes are so simple you probably have most of the ingredients in your kitchen right now.

    The Brisket Marinade Recipes

Basic Brisket Marinade 101:

  • 1 12oz beer

  • 1/2 cup white vinegar

  • 1/4 cup canola oil

  • 2 tablespoons liquid smoke

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar1 teaspoon cayenne

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Mix all ingredients together. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Apply according to your Smoked Brisket Recipes

Ale Based Brisket Marinade:

1 cup Worcestershire sauce

    2 to 3 cans of beer or malt beverage

    2 teaspoons of vegetable oil

    3 tablespoons of lemon juice

    1/2  teaspoon of liquid smoke (if preferred)

    3/4 cup of soy sauce

    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    1 teaspoon of Louisiana Hot Sauce

    1 tablespoon A1 Steak Sauce

    1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

    Mix well & use the Marinade as called for in your recipe.

    These simple marinades will get you started. Once you smoke a few briskets don’t be afraid to experiment with variations with spices and flavors.
